Rob Langley, Managing Partner
Rob Langley is one of the co-founders of Align Capital Partners, a growth oriented private equity firm founded in 2016 based in Dallas, Texas and Cleveland, Ohio. ACP is currently investing out of a $325 million inaugural fund. Rob serves as Chairman of the board of directors of Alliance Source Testing, ACP’s first platform investment.
Prior to founding Align, Rob was a Principal at The Riverside Company. During his six years at Riverside, Rob participated in 16 acquisitions and sale transactions totaling $1.1 billion of value. Rob joined Riverside in 2010 and his strong performance at the firm earned him a series of promotions, culminating in his rise to Principal in January 2014 and head of the Specialty, Manufacturing and Distribution practice for the firm globally in 2015.
Prior to Riverside, Rob worked in the buyouts group of private equity firm American Capital Strategies, and prior to that obtained mergers and acquisitions experience at the Breckenridge Group, an Atlanta based boutique M&A advisory firm. He holds a BA in Business Administration, cum laude, from Furman University where he was captain of the golf team, a two-time All-Southern Conference selection and a two-time National Golf Coaches Association Academic All-American. He has an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management where he was co-valedictorian of his class.
Outside of work, Rob stays busy chasing his three young kids and chocolate lab around with his wife, Lauren. He still loves to get out on the golf course but spends more time in the woods and sand traps than he cares to admit.
