Align Capital Partners Continues to Expand Its Team to Support the Firm’s Growth

Align Capital Partners (“ACP”) is pleased to announce the promotion of Kurt Smentek to Vice President and the addition of three new team members to support the firm’s continued growth.

Joining ACP’s Dallas office are Associates Hannah Dickey and Walker Tiller. Hannah and Walker are responsible for evaluating and executing new investments and supporting ongoing portfolio company initiatives.

Hannah joined ACP from Raymond James where she was an investment banking Analyst focused on mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions. Hannah earned her BBA in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Corporate Communication, magna cum laude, from Baylor University.

Walker joined ACP from Fidus Partners where he was an Analyst focused on mergers and acquisitions across numerous industries. Walker earned his BS with Special Attainments in Commerce, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University majoring in Economics and Business Administration.

ACP has also hired Ashley Perry in its Cleveland office. As a Marketing and Business Development Associate, Ashley is responsible for executing the firm’s marketing and communication strategy and supporting business development activities. Ashley joined ACP from Benesch Law’s marketing team, and previously earned her BA in Applied Communications and a minor in Public Relations from Kent State University.

“We are excited about the additions of Hannah, Walker, and Ashley to ACP,” said Chris Jones, Co-Founder and Managing Partner. “They each bring a unique skill set to ACP that is crucial to support the growth objectives of the firm.”

In addition, earlier this month, Kurt Smentek was promoted to Vice President on the Investment Team in the firm’s Dallas office.  During his time as an Associate, Kurt closed five investments – two platforms and three add-ons and demonstrated his ability to take on more significant investment management responsibilities.

“Promoting Kurt is a recognition of his significant contributions to ACP during his first three years at the firm.  Kurt’s work ethic and positive attitude are great strengths and he has proven himself to be a good investor and value-added resource to portfolio companies,” said Rob Langley, Co-Founder and Managing Partner.

The firm’s new additions come at a time of continued momentum for ACP, having completed 5 transactions year-to-date including 1 new platform and 4 add-ons.  ACP continues to actively seek new platform investments in lower middle market B2B companies.
