Custom Veterinary Acquires Green Mountain to Form Leading Pet Health Products Platform

CLEVELAND and DALLAS, February 10, 2025 | Align Capital Partners’ (“ACP”) pet health products platform Custom Veterinary Services (“CVS” or the “Company”) recently acquired Green Mountain Animal, LLC (“GMA”). Green Mountain Animal was founded in 2017 by Dale and Keeli Metz. Dale is a long-time industry executive and National Animal Supplement Council founding member. GMA offers R&D, manufacturing and supply chain capabilities for soft chew and powder format supplements and solutions. GMA’s existing operations in Milton, Vermont will remain in place, offering customers of both companies more advanced innovation, operational and supply chain solutions, with capacity redundancy.

To signify this new chapter together, the two organizations will ultimately be rebranded as CompletePet. The new brand reflects the unique combined company, with a mission to improve the lives and wellness of pets in every way possible. Together, CompletePet plans to keep pushing the envelope for more solutions, more capabilities and enhanced pet wellness.

“The partnership with CVS is the natural evolution in a growing and innovative market. Our market is getting more sophisticated, and our customers are asking for better supply chain partners — together we are better,” said GMA Founder Dale Metz. “We now offer more capabilities, expertise and certainty. The combination of our two businesses helps to ensure continued growth of our market.”

CVS and GMA both offer a variety of custom-formulated pet and animal health products. In addition to the combined company’s soft chew expertise, GMA brings additional capabilities in powder formulation and production. Complementing that offering are CVS’ liquid solutions such as OTC topicals, grooming products, toothpastes and liquid nutritional solutions. Together, the goal is to create the best partner for customers, employees and ultimately pets, with continued investment in innovation.

“GMA and CVS were first brought together to help solve a customer’s unique supply demands, and over the years we have developed great respect and admiration for each other’s businesses. We share a commitment to growing a customer-first organization that focuses on constant innovation and continuous investment in market-leading operational capabilities,” said Worth Turner, CEO of CVS.

ACP partnered with CVS in 2021 and has supported the Company to date with growth resources to help scale the team and add capacity, including a new 147,000 sq. ft. cGMP certified, FDA registered, state-of-the-art facility in Miami, Florida. “We remain excited about the high-growth industry and the inventive ways CVS and GMA serve their blue-chip customer base,” said ACP Partner Jack Parks. “We look forward to continuing to support CompletePet in advancing its position as the preeminent provider in the sector.” Rob Langley, Dave Tiley, Sarah Whitney and Matt Sweet also worked on the transaction for ACP.
