Align Capital Partners Announces New Hires and Promotions

Align Capital Partners (“ACP”) is pleased to announce that James Moss and Angus Anderson join as Vice President and Operations Director, respectively, to support the firm’s continued growth.  Additionally, ACP is announcing two promotions – Matt Iodice to Principal and Katie Noggle to Managing Director of Business Development.

James Moss joins ACP’s Cleveland office and is responsible for sourcing, executing, and monitoring the firm’s investments.  Prior to ACP, James was a Vice President at RLJ Equity Partners, focused on evaluating new deal investment opportunities and working with senior management teams on strategic initiatives in the technology, business services, and diversified manufacturing industries.  He earned his BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Morehouse College and an MBA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.

“James is an important addition to our Investment Team as we look to deploy more capital and expand our thematic investing initiatives,” said Steve Dyke, Co-Founder and Managing Partner.  “His experience fits well with ACP’s lower middle market focus and we’re excited to welcome him to the firm.”

Angus Anderson joins ACP’s Operating Team to support execution of portfolio company value creation strategies.  Prior to ACP, Angus was a strategic finance consultant to tech-enabled services companies and the Head of Business Execution and Planning for Erecruit, a private equity-backed SaaS business serving the staffing market, where he oversaw annual P&L budgets, plans, and forecasts to obtain optimal company performance.  He earned his BA in Economics and American Studies from Trinity College.

“We’re thrilled to have Angus serve as our first Operations Director,” said Dave Tiley, Senior Operating Partner.  “His prior experience working alongside management teams in the technology sector brings a unique skill set to ACP, especially as the firm looks to further invest in tech-enabled business models.”

Earlier this year, Matt Iodice was promoted to Principal on the Investment Team in the Dallas office.  During his time as a Vice President, Matt closed nine investments – three platforms and six add-ons.  Katie Noggle, who leads the firm’s Business Development efforts, was promoted to Managing Director in the Cleveland office.  Katie has developed a strong network of resources for ACP as she has built up the firm’s origination efforts over the last four years.

The firm’s new additions come at a time of continued momentum for ACP, having completed 23 transactions in 2020, including 4 new platforms and 19 add-ons.  ACP continues to actively seek new platform investments in growing, lower middle market companies.
